If you’re a non-EU citizen looking to work in the Czech Republic, here’s an easy guide on the permits and steps you’ll need:
Employee Card
For stays longer than 3 months and for specific job roles.
Acts as a long-term residence permit linked to employment.
Special Work Visa
Valid for up to 1 year for jobs with special conditions.
Allows working on a specific project or temporary employment.
Short-term Work Visa
For employment lasting less than 90 days.
Employee Card
Where to Apply: Submit at the Czech Embassy in your home country.
Documents Needed:
Valid passport, accommodation proof, job contract, photo, relevant qualifications.
Special Work Visa
Where to Apply: Apply at the Czech Embassy if eligible under government regulations.
Documents Needed:
Passport, accommodation proof, photo, employment approval from Czech Employment Service.
